Arab Revival or Managed Project?

It is perhaps the organic Arab revival to overcome Colonial and Cold War manipulation along with people getting to the point now to demand prosperity and accountability from their leaders that is in works. Bur one thing s clear and that is there are lots of other external players of various size and means that are injecting themselves in the process. West, China, and Russia are all out there seeking an orderly (defined differently in various capitals) transition that does not disrupt OIL this extremely addictive product. The Israel factor in this environment is irrelevant and has no baring on the outcome. That is how it should be when you talk about a movement involving 500M people vs 6M Israelites.

It is clear that those players care less about Arabs or North African people and care more about their own survival and prosperity. We have seen how they have used human rights, freedom, and rule of law to further their objectives, even if at times the call is Genuine. Just few years ago they were calling the same people (by all account majority of the Arabs) Muslin extremists, terrorists, and violent people. The people of that region will be tossed around in the prevailing wind until they get their sails in order.

The movement will in my opinion pass the test and with lots of up and downs bring civil society based on Arab culture to the forefront. They will then be demanding a fair and equitable place at the global table. Until then we will witness pain, injustice, interference, manipulation, out right lies and deception locally and externally. The news media will be fed crap to report. Aljazira will try to Americanize the movement but there are so many sources of news that Arabs will quickly learn how to navigate through psych-ops, half baked news and real news. At the end they can quickly see if the change is producing results, that is "will they better off then or not". Same thing that actor from Hollywood asked Americans back in 1979 and became president.

US Budget Drama Its unbearable to see what US political system has de-evolved to. The fight over the budget on about $36B even though abortion and clean water act were involved when country is in such a deep doo doo makes rational reasonable people puke. But I guess we are running out of those people. The oil based economy, fiscal whoring, total waste of resources, drunkenness with consumption and lack of moral compass are the source of the issues but meanwhile politicians conduct politics like its 1970's. I don't think they realize cold war has ended and business as usual is no more. Iraq is still occupied - no war crimes trials yet Afghanistan is a mess with no end in sight Several hindered PEOPLE are illegally kept in Guantanamo Our friendly ARAB dictators are nice and keep buying our arms Israel continues to occupy Palestine Mexico is a mess South America is not America! Canadians don't like us

Media and Information Revolution

For over 20 years technology has continually enabled information and news to travel almost unimpeded from individuals to individuals. This of course had profoundly changed the developed world path forward but more importantly has sped developing and rest of the world arrival to influencing and imparting social, economical and political change. This process by no means will be nice and clean due compressed time lines for realizing change but non the less inevitable. Developing world will not necessarily follow a per-determined model devised in Washington DC, London or Paris, they will blaze their own trail. At times their local and national interests will be even be more divergent to developed world's interests. There will be lots of cased where Middle East, African South American people will ask why do we help them when there is nothing in it for us.

The days of massive arms sales to dictators and persuading them to follow our advisor' recommendations on social, economical and political discourse are numbered. The "rest of the world" is beginning to think for themselves and will demand equal presents at the table. No more building shit Air Bases, airports and highways that will not be used because some dick head king signs the contract. The west will have to now begin to earn every dollar they make over there.

FOX network in specific and corporate (military) media in general will have to get a diaper for Wikileaks and others that try to put human misery face to the illegal and immoral Iraq invasion and occupation (aka war by them). When the war is illegal and immoral our soldiers then behave immoral and illegal otherwise we have one of the most disciplined soldiers in the world. It is the corrupt politics that gets them in trouble just like Vietnam.

Not Much Has Changed in US since Bush Neocon days:

1) Still Guantanamo is going strong
2) War and occupation is going on in both Iraq and Afghanistan
3) Health care is hard to find! I guess with Obama election the 40M uninsured disappeared.
4) Arms deals are rampant - $60B worth to Saudi Arabia to defend themselves from what? Stuff they have bought in the last 40 years are rusted out. If they had a civil society would not have agreed to these forced sales. They didn't do shit when Saddam invaded Kuwait! Why not just charge them for protection?
5) US economy is still fundamentally sick because nobody is paying REAL COST of what they are and are not getting - Obama team (aka same Bush group) just put some band aid on it
6) Global worming -- what is that no mention of it anymore?
7) 60% of oil is still being imported to US, no sign of reducing that. They don't even talk about it anymore
8) No Home for Palestinians -- that is going to bite again. FYI in 1900 there were 600,000 Palestinian in Palestine and 23,000 Jews living happily together.
9) Middle class is still disappearing - Rich are getting richer and poor are poorer
10) I guess the Ozone layer is back? And CO2 emission are in check now since Democrats took the whit house.

What does KKK and Aboogharib have in common?

In both cases the violence against unwanted were condoned indirectly by the system which really allowed barbarism to prevail by creating the HATE environment. It proves again that even the most supposed civilized nation is capable of barbaric action. These actions were not just by few rouge soldiers as Bush said about Aboogharib or they said about KKK members lynching blacks. The videos from Apache helicopter is yet another sign of how deep the pure EVIL hate permeates in the system.

Contract with America = 1990's (Rush got rich)
Tea Party = 2010's (Beck gets rich)
Operation Eagle eye = 2020's (Dick gets rich)
Homeland Liberation = 2030's (Jane gets rich)
Operation son of Plain = 2040's (someone will get rich)

Mean time on the liberal left side

Talk shit about working class helping needy to lift all Americans while pocking intern - 1990's
Come in for few years to relive right wing nut cases - 2010's
Rich socialist pays inheritance tax but move huge yacht out of state not pay taxes- 2020's
Business as usual but cater to liberals because they are about 60% of population - 2030's
When we kill enemy scum bags is different that those right wing nut cases - 2040's

Bottom line we'll be through back and forth between two gangs for decades to come!! Now that should make us feel worm and fussy
